UCPAP Announces New Program Director
Published by UCPAP Faculty and Staff,
The University of Charleston Physician Assistant Program is pleased to announce Jennifer Pack MMS, PA-C as Program Director!
Mrs. Pack has been a member of the UCPAP from early on; playing an integral role in the development of the program curriculum and structure. She joined UC in October 2011 as the Director of Didactic Education and was promoted to the Associate Program Director position in August 2013. Mrs. Pack brings invaluable experience to the program, having worked in PA education for over ten years. During this time she has also remained active in clinical practice, serving as a PA in Emergency Medicine, Hospitalist, and Family Medicine settings.
Mrs. Pack is an active proponent for the PA profession and PA education and has taken on many leadership roles at the state and local level. She is the current President of the West Virginia Association of Physician Assistants (WVAPA) and has previously served as Vice President and Continuing Medical Education Chair. In addition to her duties within the PA program, she also serves on the University of Charleston Graduate Curriculum Committee and is the President of the Graduate Faculty Assembly.
Becoming the UCPAP Program Director is a natural fit for Mrs. Pack. When asked about her thoughts on becoming the program director, Mrs. Pack had this to say:
"Becoming the Program Director for the UC PA Program is an exciting new endeavor for me.
I've been in PA education for quite some time and seeing the transformation of students from
the first day of classes until graduation has been a motivational force. I value training competent,
caring healthcare providers who may eventually be treating me or a member of my family. I am
committed to the University of Charleston's PA program and with the great team of faculty and
staff that we have, hope to make it one of the best PA programs in the country".
The UCPAP faculty and staff are thankful to have Mrs. Pack as the program director and are excited about the future of the University of Charleston PA program!
